Find the perfect dog walk on your journey - Driving with Dogs

Woodland dog walk and a cave full of history, Northumberland

Premium

Description

A very handy dog walk for the A1, and also worth a short detour if you're waiting for the tide to cross over to Holy Island. The story about the cave is quite weird and makes you wonder all sorts of things about the reasons for literally carting the saint's remains around so much. Spoiler alert - he's buried in Durham Cathedral. Anyway, it's a good walk.
