Most drivers on the A40 have no idea that the Usk Valley has some really pretty countryside, dog-friendly pubs and some lovely walks too.  We enjoyed a leisurely stroll along a canal, a cool glass of lemonade in the family-run pub and were happily on our way to Fishguard with hardly a detour.
