Upperford Copse dog walk, Hampshire
PremiumDescription
Two reminders of the once enormous Forest of Bere. Upperford Copse is doggie delight, with shaded woodland paths and endless opportunites for canine romping. West Park is more popular with families, and this is where you'll find the WCs, kids' play area and an ice cream van in summer.

A lovely dog walk. Car parking is a bit pricey but, if you are local, the Forestry Commission annual permit is fantastic value. There are loads of interconnecting paths and the walk can also connect you to the old Meon Valley railway track for miles more walkies. The Roebuck pub (just off the railway track to the south) is very dog friendly and pretty good food. The bluebells in spring are wonderful, but be aware that a lot of non dog walkers come to see them!

West walk is brilliant if you have children too - brilliant new adventure play area with tree houses and log cabins. Lots of lovely woodland walks as well. Go early though as it's a popular spot.
