The western half of this extraordinary 'island' is a country park - and a great spot for dogs to take in some sea breezes. There's a link road to parking on the island. See the review below about thefts in the area before deciding to come here.

GPS coords for car park: 51.5328, 0.6265 2.1m height restriction. The island is also a haven for many birds, some rare, so sensitivity needed to keep bounding hounds away from nesting sites.

Beware of thieves
The last time I visited here my car was broken into and had all my work goods stolen from the boot, £850 worth of equpment. Then I found out about others having the same issue, but never reported it. It has no CCTV in place and therefore a theifs paradise, which is a shame as its a lovely walk, but I wouldn't go there again.
