Walk
If you're new to the town, then take the dog to look at the abbey ruins and surrounding park. You're so in the middle of history here it's ridiculous! This is a really good walk for dogs, kids and anyone with a vague interest in history. There are brown tourist signs to help you find it. The river flood plain is also good for a dog walk in dry weather.
