Sherwood Forest dog walk, Nottinghamshire
Description
Dogs' delight in winter, less so in summer! Walking through ancient broadleaf trees on clear paths, really easy to follow and with scents that dogs just adore.
Details
GPS coords for car park: 53.2012, -1.0633 WC, cafe, exhibits and information in the visitor centre complex (GPS coords: 53.1979, -1.0671). Dog water provided, and poo bins aplenty. Car park charge in summer/school hols.
Walk
The route from the Visitor Centre to the Major Oak is very busy indeed, beyond that the circular trail around this part of the forest is relatively quiet and dogs can be off lead.
