Rufford Country Park dog walk, Nottinghamshire
Description
Woodland and lakeside dog walks in a popular park in Nottinghamshire's 'Dukeries' area. There's plenty to see and do in this glorious park that was once a thriving monastery, and later became an aristocratic residence complete with Hall and formal gardens. Look out for the eye-misting pet cemetery near the Orangery.

Great place for walks in the woods and around the lake. Plenty of space, toilet facilities and refreshments at the Main Abbey end and also at the Mill end. Good car parking both ends. All dogs must be on a lead. This is usually adhered to but there are of course some dog owners who feel they do not need to respect this. Can get very busy at weekends and on sunny days.
