River Severn Country Park, Shropshire
Description
Calm country park regenerated from former coal mine and quarry workings. The park is about 20 years old now, and starting to settle into a really pleasant green space with the River Severn an added attraction to the landscape.

Took turning from A442 to Hampton Loade (Brown Sign for Country Park, but not the main entrance to park). National Trust Car park next to River Severn (reasonable charges apply). Signposts for walks in all directions along the river.
Pubs with outdoor seating on both sides of the river with a ferry between the two banks. Not sure if dog friendly or not.
Great place to stop off on our long journey and let the doggies stretch their legs.
