Parc Maupassant de Bois Savary dog-friendly, France
Description
Completely stunning formal gardens, created in 2003.
If you're a keen gardener this is well worth a look. Particularly for the rose collection. There are apparently over 750 different varieties of roses.
This isn't a space for letting the pooch run wild, but dogs are allowed in on leads.

How to get there
The gardens are just 3km from the A85, halfway between Angers and Tours.
From the A85, take exit 3 (Saumur). After the toll, take exit 3 at a roundabout. This is the D10 towards Allonnes/Bourgueil/Tours. Go across one roundabout and straight on for just over 3km. Then turn right at Chemin de la Godinière and after 120m take the first left onto La Thibaudière.
