Nature reserve dog walk near Leicester, Leicestershire
PremiumDescription
A calm and tranquil dog walking spot today, this hill between Markfield and Ibstock might once have been a Saxon 'barrow'. Birdsong and the gentle rustling of newly planted trees make this nature reserve a delight for dogs and drivers. This walk is also close to the M1 Junction 22 - half-a-mile away.

Despite living nearby for 22 years, I had never heard of this nature reserve! Thanks to this website, I’ve just visited it with my 4 dogs. Safe car park , poo bag bins, plenty of space for a run around, and a nice circular wander that took us 35 minutes. Some great views at the top of the hills too! Will definitely go back as I want to explore the paths that go off from the main fields.
