This is a fantastic environment for dogs, as well as families. There is plenty of space for everyone, and an ideal stopping point before heading into one of the big cities. There are six signed trails of different lengths and directions around this enormous country park, and several have good dog swimming access.

This was a fab place to stop off en route from Lincolnshire to Glasgow. It was signposted from main roads and parking easy. We called in the visitor centre who gave us a free map of the walks available.
It was a great walk for the dogs, who thoroughly enjoyed it. There was very little poo on the paths and it was great to see bins along the walk to put poo bags in and other rubbish. It was a clean walk even in November.
I would certainly recommend this walk and will definitely return

A good place to stop
We stopped here on the way to Scotland and on our return a week later. We did two different walks, both involved water! Buddy was dry by the time we had our lunch in the courtyard. Lots of places dogs can go off lead and you can do walks to suit the time you have.
