PremiumDescription
Branded as the first 'Walkers' Town' in Scotland, some impeccable organisation has gone into creating a series of well marked trails in and around the town and environs. Green 15 PointsFantastic stop
Lovely walks, lots of cafes, thanks for a terrific tip to stop here. Very close to the motorway, and easy parking.

Green 27 PointsExcellent stopover, 5 minutes from Junction 15. Moffat is a very dog friendly little town and people friendly too. Dogs should be kept on lead in Moffat boating park as there are lots of ducks geese etc. There is parking opposite boating park and that is also the start of a lovely riverside walk where dogs can run free. 10/15minutes from start of this walk are lovely large playing fields, dogs are allowed. Cut through the the pretty side streets and you are in the centre of Moffat. This will take approx 20/30 minutes from start of walk. You can then pick up any provisions on the way back to your car. The complete circuit will take you under an hour at a gentle stroll.

Best Dog Walkers Town in UK?
This is truly a super town for walkers, and dog walkers. Actively genuinely set up for easy off lead dog walking for any short or long route. We started at the Annandale House Hotel in the centre of the market town, and we’re off lead on a country walk within 5 mins!
