M6 Junction 3 dog walk and dog-friendly heritage pub, West Midlands
PremiumDescription
A choice of paths here, either along the canal or the river. There's more to see on the canal route, and the path is in good condition. The pub is a favourite watering-hole for narrow boat crews, locals, walkers, and dogs are welcome. Portions are very generous.

Great walk
We arrived here just before dusk. There's a place to park the car shortly before you get to the pub if you are not a customer. The pub has a really nice friendly vibe and all along the tow path were people hanging out by their boats which made me feel safe as it got dark. There weren't any lights though (in my mind this was a good thing). I walked up the RHS of the canal, with the dogs running loose, and the path opened up a bit to a grass area with woodland on the side. The walk itself is also close to the motorway. I would definitely recommend this walk and next time I would like to visit the pub.
