M6 Junction 15 woodland dog walk, Staffordshire
PremiumDescription
The woodland here is perfect for dogs to really let off steam and thunder through the trees at speed. Even on the hottest of days, the cooling canopy of branches provides shade and the leaf strewn tracks are kind to car-tired travelling paws.

Green 50 PointsGreat place
Fantastic place to stop on way to Lake District, really pleased. The sat nav stopped about 1/2 mile from destination but I followed along the road and found it ok

Lovely spot for a woodland walk - dog enjoyed having a run around! No facilities, unfortunately, but a good place to stop for a quick break.

Green 35 PointsDog walk near the M6 and motorhome stop
Good spot to stop in a motorhome for dogs and humans alike. Dogs can run freely around the paths. We had lunch and a good rest there before moving on. No height restrictions so easy to park the motorhome.

Green 55 PointsLovely woodland dog walk - with picnic benches
We stopped for a break here en route to the Lake District and it was great. A lovely woodland which is easy to find your way around even though the markers are a bit worn. We had a picnic on a hot day underneath the trees, and there are rubbish bins to get rid of your rubbish which helps on a long journey. Top tip is not to park immediately off the road, but to keep driving up until you see the water tower. Will stop here again.

One of our regular stopping places when travelling between Northamptonshire and Scotland. A lovely bit of woodland with lots for the dogs to explore. We have never actually managed to find the route markers but it is easy enough to navigate your way around a short loop. Free parking and a bit of open space for a picnic lunch too.

Green 35 PointsBeautiful Autumn Walk
Just finished this walk today. Our doggy absolutely loved it! Beautiful woodland walk with lots of things for him to sniff and explore. The signposts for the different routes could be a little better but even without following a specific route it was still easy to find your way around.

A brilliant place to have a break from M6 traffic (although lacks toilets). We started to follow the red route, lost the signs and made up our own route through the woods. Fun for dogs and teenagers.
