M5 Junctions 6 and 7 dog walk and cafe near Worcester, Worcestershire
PremiumDescription
Paths are well maintained here and provide easy dog walking around this fully accessible route. This is brilliant for kids, with a large play area, and the woods are perfect for dogs. There are also helpfully placed information boards with interesting background detail to the walk. Apparently, present day Nunnery Wood was once cultivated by Cistercian nuns, who must have been pretty brawny to win a living from this land.

Green 87 PointsPerfect M5 break
We have stopped here several times as it's just perfect for a break from the motorway. Quick to reach from the M5; easy, free parking; excellent cafe serving breakfasts and lunches as well as cakes, snacks etc, dogs allowed inside and out, and doggie treats on the menu; lots of picnic tables and benches; plenty of off lead walking in woods and fields; accessible toilets; regularly refilled dog water bowls. In school holidays it gets very busy but the cafe is so well run you still don't have to wait long for food.

Pink 185 PointsSecond visit
We live in Cornwall so only get up country occasionally to visit relatives etc and this was our second visit here and it is just as good as before.
Easy to find, loads of free parking and everything from woodland walks to great ball throwing meadows.
The cafe remains good value and it's such an easy alternative to the dreaded service areas and, as we were heading north, we came off at junction 7 and rejoined at 6 missing most of the roadworks! Result

Pink 185 PointsBrilliant and easy to access
We exited the M5 at J7 heading north and rejoined at J6 so a perfect stop off.
Loads of off lead running space and enjoyable sniffs around the woods. Also lots of kids entertainment - the webiste does a better job than I can of describing - but this makes it a multi purpse stop, kids and dogs in one location.
The cafe served reasonable food so all told a really handy stop off heading north or south.
We shall return

Lovely food with emphasis on ethical, local produce. Great parks for kids of all ages. Lovely signposted walks either in the woods or across fields.

Green 65 Points5 star stop
We stopped here on the way to Devon. It has great facilities close to the car park and we had a lovely lunch at the cafe . ( dogs not allowed inside) There was a lovely woodland trail where we could all stretch our legs and also park areas for children of all ages. Great place to stop off and would certainly use this as a stopping place again - Bowie loved it!

Great place for an m5 break
We used AllTrails to walk 45 mins through the woods off lead. Could have easily done more or less as there were lots of trails and a few adjoining fields. There’s also a big green field next to the (very good) children’s area where you could throw a ball. Food surprisingly good. Will definitely use again!
