Walk
Walk to the rear of the overspill car park and up the small flight of steps leading straight onto the towing path of the Grand Western Canal. The Grand Western canal was intended to link the Bristol and English channels in the 19th century. That grand plan was never completed, and now the 11 miles or so of canal has become the Great Western Canal country park. Look out for horse-drawn barges hauling their burden of 21st century tourists, not limestone, along the towing path.

Green 20 PointsAbsolutely fantastic
Impromptu stop on the way back from holiday; fitted us in on a busy Saturday evening; welcomed doggy with a biscuit... And then served us wonderful home-cooked steak and stilton pie. Will definitely be back for a pre-planned stop and a walk.

Lovely
We didnt stop at the pub as it was early. We parked in the free car park in the village. There are public toilets in the village which is handy. The canal path is just up from the car park, we turned right and walked for half an hour before turning around giving us a great break from the car and totally off lead. Will use this again definitely.
