We parked at the pub and walked up the road to the Gloucester canal which has a wide walking towpath. We walked west, crossed over the canal and walked back to the pub across the fields. It took about 1 hour. The pub has outdoor seating and a old fashioned bar area where dogs can go (they also have a restaurant -no dogs). The food was typical pub grub. The 'locals' in the bar were very friendly.

Good walk
Enjoyed the walk and there are various options. There is a small public car park on Watery Lane (the lane mentioned). Parking around the pub seems quite tight!
