There's a choice of two walks here, one along the banks of the Thames and the other through a nature reserve. Both walks pass a civilised pub where you'll find decent coffee and good service.   This walk lies between Junction 3 and Junction 4 of the M40, so you can leave at one junction and return to the next. This does feel like you're saving journey time.
