M40 Junction 10 dog-friendly pub and dog walk, Northamptonshire
PremiumDescription
Popular and unpretentious dog-friendly village pub with a welcome for all. The village is apparently the original for writer Flora Thompson's 'Candleford'.

Lovely food and walk
We stopped here on our way to Derbyshire. Matilda' s cafe attached to The Butchers Arms served coffees, teas, snacks and delicious cakes. We sat on an outside bench by the village cricket green in front of the pub. There was a courtyard and inside seating. Treats for dogs too. We then went on a walk as described, we couldn't go too far as it was hot and there was no shade, but enough for Buddy to carry on our journey.
