Wonderful break, beautiful village
East Garston is a quiet, very peaceful and picturesque village with a clear stream running through. So close to the M4 but it seems a world away. We arrived at the pub before 10am and they were open and serving coffees, very friendly and welcoming and plenty of space for the dog to stretch out. Met a local gentleman with a Lab who suggested our two Labs played together in the enclosed garden. We had a long chat and really enjoyed our stay. Hope to return to the pub on our way back and also village cafe which serves homemade cakes. The suggested walk along the river was overgrown with nettles so we did not go far, preferring to just amble around the village and Edie ( our lab)pottered in the stream. We’d like to explore some of the many walks around there.
