Over a thousand acres of ancient woodland, with several car parks, cafe and limitless picnic spots. This is a great place for a doggiestop in the summer, less good in winter as the car parking is limited (soggy fields).

The National Trust are now allowing you to turn up without booking and the cafe was open on a Monday (when many other places are not).
Always a pleasure to walk the dogs here. Children love the shell house and the ducks and swans on the water.

This place promised to be perfect on our return trip from Norfolk. Arrived to find pre-booked tickets only - boy were we disappointed! Had to make do with the nearby services...
DwD - it would have been a great choice. Unfortunately many National Trust sites are insisting on pre-booked tickets for just the car park and there is no overall policy on this.

Good walk
Lots of open space so good to stretch legs.
As it’s National Trust for a short stop a bit pricey if you are not a member.
