Walk
The park has some good walking on its own, but if you're staying in the area for a while then it's worth popping in to the tourist information office in Leek where they've got leaflets with longer walks starting from the country park.

Not a bad little walk which I've visited a few times. The narrow waterway that runs to the right of the car park is the feeder channel from Rudyard Lake to the start of the Leek branch of the Caldon Canal which can be picked up again across the road. The walk itself is really just a couple of big fields bordered by a tree line, but dogs love it and can happily run free. A few picnic tables are dotted around for a snack. There is a small shop just up Ladderedge from here and Morrisons and the shops in Leek are not far away to stock up before the walk.
The well known Hollybush dog friendly pub is a short distance away and is signposted from the main road heading from here to Stoke-on-Trent.
