If you're staying in La Rochelle this is a locals dog walk to a park that aims to mix the best of English parkland design with the practicalities of the Atlantic climate and strong winds. Peaceful and really lovely.
Details
Parking in the centre is easiest in the P&D car parks or on-street with meters. Lots of bars, restaurants and cafes with outside tables where dogs can join you, and many have bowls of dog water.

Walk
The park has only been established since the late 1960s, but there's a calm and peaceful atmosphere and plenty of shade in summer. The paths are easy to follow.
