Kingsgate Bay dog-friendly beach, Kent
Description
Really nice sandy beach, and dogs are welcome at Kingsgate all year round. The beach is overlooked by the Captain Digby Inn (dogs at outside tables), definitely a place to check out if you want to know about the smugglers of old and tales of derring-do. The cliffs beneath the pub are riddled with caves where contraband used to be stored. The slightly mad castle at the end of the beach is an 18th century confection, and a private residence.
