Lovely place to peacefully potter with the pooch and munch on a sarnie. There isn't actually a castle here any more, but what you can see is the tallest remaining castle mound in the UK. It's got a set of steps to get to the top which kids will adore, but dogs aren't allowed up there. On a hot day you can walk behind the castle onto Mill Lane, and there's a great place for dog splashing in the River Ouse.
