In an area a bit crowded with ruined abbeys, this one is wilder and far less curated than its more famous neighbours. You'll find seats in picturesque nooks, and a very tranquil atmosphere.

GPS coords for car park: 54.2664, -1.7421 Entry to Jervaulx by donation to honesty box, they suggest £3 per person. Cafe next to the car park, dogs outside only.
Walk
The path from the car park to the abbey goes through a field that's full of sheep. So this is an on-lead excursion for the dog.
