Hope Cove dog walk and dog-friendly beach, Devon
Description
A lovely secluded cove, where smugglers used to bring their contraband ashore by night. The village is very quaint - thatched cottages and postcard-ideal scenes galore.

Walk
The South West coastal path goes through here, so there's 'proper' walkies as well as the beach. The beach-side Hope and Anchor Inn is dog-friendly.
Dog restrictions (2023) Northern side of beach, Mouthwell Sands - no dogs May 1 to end September. Large beach - no restrictions for dogs. Must be on lead. But if you follow the road past the Hope and Anchor, the beach is dog-friendly all year. Look out for people launching boats.
