Historic market town and abbey grounds dog walk, Norfolk
Description
A visit here is a bit like stumbling onto the filmset of Robin Hood and finding Richard the Lionheart heading towards you. Just so fantastically old. Modern requirements are met too, with shops for picnic supplies and the chance to explore this interesting market town with the dog.
Details
Just about all the narrow town streets are parking-proofed, so follow signs to short-stay parking.
Walk
A walk in the grounds of the 12th century abbey is perfect for the dog, and ours quickly found a river to get wet and grubby in (not recommended). Various ways into the abbey grounds are clearly signed. A notice said that sheep graze occasionally, we didn't see any.
