Heritage coast dog walks and beach, County Durham
PremiumDescription
A great place for a dog walk on this beach that's part of the Heritage Coastline. It's a popular place to look for sea-glass too. We puzzled about the number of street names and businesses named after Byron. Apparently he was married in the Hall here in 1815. A year later he was caught out playing away, abandoned his wife and left for a life of poetry and romance in Italy.

Great walk
My dogs love this beach. Especially the muddy banks at the back of it. There's a stream at the bottom of the steps to the car pack if the waves are too rough for them. Steep climb up steps to the car park.
