One of the most dog-friendly towns we've seen, with dogs welcome in the inns and many of the shops too.
Details
Parking in the main square is a bit competitive, and free. Tourist Info. Public WCs. The Board Inn and the Bull's Head (DL8 3RD) are both dog-friendly. Pet shop in the courtyard by the Bulls Head. Dog-friendly B&B rooms at the Board Inn. Sheepdog demonstrations every Thursday evening in Summer, just past the river.

Walk
Hawes is more of a centre to collect information about walks. You could walk to the river, but there are loads of sheep and not really worth it for the dog.
