Details
GPS coords for parking: 52.5539, -1.5164 Free parking, but limited space. There's a pub up the road where portions are alarmingly generous, and perfect if you like your Lasagne with two veg. Dogs at outside tables only.
Walk
The buildings of the Hartshill Maintenance Yard make a glorious start to this towpath stroll, with their distinctive and locally produced dark brickwork. Turn left to walk under the bridge and carry on past The Anchor Inn by Bridge 29 to the next section of the canal (where quarried granite was once loaded onto the narrow boats). This is part of the Quarrymen's Way, and there are some interesting information boards along the way. Turn round at your own halfway point to return to the Harthill Yard.
