Hambleden valley dog walk and dog-friendly pub, Buckinghamshire
PremiumDescription
An outstandingly attractive village, nestled in the Hambleden Valley and a total delight to discover with the dog. In the land of pretty villages, this is one of the very best. Films needing the look of a perfect England, including 101 Dalmations and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang have been filmed here. And the Vicar of Dibley.

Rewarded with a view
Beautiful picturesque village and the circular walk as listed is a treat when it’s rewarded with a pint and delicious lunch at the Stag & Huntsman pub. Darcey was offered treats (well what else are pubs for!) and the staff were so welcoming and clearly love dogs.
For a tougher walk but with an even better reward, turn right out of the pub’s front entrance to a tough climb up about a quarter of a mile to the farm at the top. Walk round the back of the farm on the public footpath and descend down to an absolutely glorious view of rolling hillside between the trees and hedgerows as you exit the wood. Believe me it’s special. See pic attached.
