An amazing piece of ancient forest that has somehow survived centuries of tree felling, housing development and road building. Popular with local dog walkers, but far from over-crowded. Plenty of space for off-lead running.

Elmstead joins onto Marvels Woods and then there's Lower Marvels Wood just to the north.
