Description
The chunky stone in the photo marks the spot where, possibly, the English nation was formed. King Alfred the Great won the battle of Ethansdun, crushed the Viking oppressors and the rest is history! Dogs will be much more interested in zooming around the hill and remains of a very ancient hill fort.
