Dog walk near Amlwch, Anglesey, Wales
Description
This is a walk to love or hate. And the DwD jury's still out on this 'country park' that has a walk route through the pretty much untouched remains of a copper mine that had been running almost continuously for perhaps 4,000 years. The colours of the spoil heaps are extraordinary, and anyone with a vague interest in metallurgy will find plenty of interest. But Jem's nose wasn't thrilled by the experience, and he wasn't too impressed at an on lead walk either.

Walk
Rather rugged walking but lots of interest. You could easily imagine that you're walking on the moon. Tip - wash your dog's feet thoroughly after the walk to prevent metal contamination.
