Walk
The walk is on a section of the Cumbrian Way and you can start either from the village car park or the church. We started from the craft centre next to the church, crossed the beck at the footbridge and then turned right. At first you pass through a campsite (dogs on leads) and then once you're through the gate and into woodland our two were off-lead and loving it. It's a single path that's well-signed and easy to follow. We turned round at the gate at the end of the woodland path and enjoyed a picnic with a great view over the fields below. On the way back the dogs found a way down to the river and had a cooling dip and paw wash before heading back to the village.
