Dog-friendly inn near the sea and coast path, Cornwall
Description
Lovely old pub, dog-friendly of course, and within a shout of the coast path. Lots to do and see and plenty of paths to explore if you're staying in the area.
Added by sueleatherdale: Very family friendly pub with great food and comfortable accommodation. The menu is slightly different to most and very good. Traditional pub and large beer garden. Great position for a very challenging section of the South West Coast Path between Hartland Quay and Bude. Dogs very welcome with their own 'treat' pack and towel ready for them in the room and a sausage at breakfast. Excellent breakfasts for owners too.

Walk
Walk 1 Walk towards the coast on the signed track/footpath. It starts on the corner just up from the pub, and passes to the right of a house. It's a tiny bit over half-a-mile to reach the South-West coast path. When you get to the sea there are two options for a short walk. Turn left, follow the path downhill and then take the first footpath on the left. This is before a footbridge over the stream. The path follows the stream up and away from the coastline. Reach a path crossroads and turn left and this brings you back onto your outward route on the track near the pub (and avoids a high probability of a field of sheep). Walk length is just over 2 miles.
Walk 2 Alternate route is to reach the sea and coast path and turn right, instead of left. Foollow the coast path for a few minutes and then turn right. Follow this path across fields, past a small church and then stroll on the lane back to Morwentow. This route is shorter (just under 2 miles), and much less hilly than the first option.
