Cotswold Water Park dog walks, Gloucestershire
PremiumDescription
One visit to this massive water park will probably be the first of many as there's so much walking, and doing, and seeing to do. The park has been made out of dozens of quarries, now filled with water and joined by footpaths, rivers and canals. Some consideration needed to keep dogs on leads in the bird nesting areas, but loads of space for off lead bounding as well.

Convenient off A419 and well worth exploring. Great cafe
Traveling on my own early on Saturday from London to Stroud. Edie loves the water so I decided to stop here. Gateway cafe has a nice breakfast menu and very popular, very dog friendly, easy to use the facilities and nice cup of coffee. Had some problem locating the walks as they are round the side of the car park and could be more clearly signed. The information centre is closed over winter so no maps available although a kind lady directed me to the hotel reception and I picked one up there. Walked back under the main road following the canal. Lovely walk and also came back and did some of the circular around the lake. Great for dog swimming. Car park very busy when we left, obviously very popular. Hope to return and will research a bit more next time.
