Coombe Country Park dog walks, West Midlands
Description
A popular destination for Coventry folk, there is lots to do here all through the year. Ideal for a solitary dog walk, or just as comfortable with a crowd of people all wanting to do something different!
Details
GPS coords for car park: 52.4115, -1.4066 P&D parking. WC+disabled with radar key. Visitor centre with information point and shop, ranger office and education facilities. Cafe. Children's play area. Wheelchair hire (needs a pusher and £5 deposit).
Walk
Follow the path slightly downhill from the visitor centre towards the lake, and this brings you to Wrautums Field. Dogs are fine to be off-lead here, and there's plenty of space for canine zooming. Dogs are allowed throughout the park, but should be on leads in the formal areas.
Paths are generally hard surfaced and fully accessible to wheelchair users. Free park leaflets with maps can be picked up at the visitor centre.

Lovely country park with various lengths of well marked walking trails and human facilities (loos & cafes - dog-friendly). Fee for parking but only a couple of pounds (from memory).

Super stop with woodland walk
There is a woodland walk if you go past the little cafe kiosk, where the dog can be off lead. The path loops around and comes out at the Go Ape centre, making a 30 minute walk, before going on lead again through the park.
Food in the cafe was ok, but uninspiring. The artisan coffee shop was good with many treats. Dogs are allowed in too!
I thoroughly recommend this stop over.
