Walk
There's a good choice of paths to follow and it's a real pleasure to walk through the woodlands to the banks of the River Stour. There are a number of trails including a history trail, nature trail and railway walk. If you wish, it's possible to follow the local path network into the fields beyond Clare. Well-behaved dogs are allowed inside the remains of the castle, although they need to keep away from the children's play area and picnic areas.
