Dogs with a taste for privilege past and present will enjoy a stroll around a medieval castle keep. It's an atmospheric site and great for visits with kids and dogs.

Big on historical re-enactment days, and dog access may also change. You also have to pay more for entry. English Heritage members free access (not the event days), non-member charge of around £5 per adult, family tickets for under £20. Getting there North of Kings Lynn on the A149, 10 miles from Hunstanton. Tea shops in the village.

Walk
Clear routes around the keep and earthworks, very easy to follow. If you're not a member of English Heritage we thought the entry was pricey for a short walk, however lovely. Dogs are not allowed inside the castle buildings.
