Bromsgrove town local dog walk, Worcestershire
Description
Sanders Park is a lovely green space within Bromsgrove town. It's a real old-school municipal park, complete with bandstand, ducks and well-tended rose beds. You see so few of these parks nowadays that this one has real retro charm. It's popular with dog walkers, families, school kids and local residents and can get busy on sunny days. During the summer there's an informal 'rule' to keep dogs on leads around the pond and picnic areas.

Walk
The 'Royal Hunters' walks start here and the routes apparently explore the remains of the medieval hunting forest that surrounds the town. We've tried a couple of these and weren't too impressed with a set of near lethal stiles, poor signage and quite a lot of road walking. So Jem's advice is to enjoy the park and forget about the forest! Or, go to Chaddesley Corbett and start there.
