Walk

Head straight out of the front door of the hotel and you are on the seafront, so head straight down onto the beach. Head off to the right to enjoy a wonderfully sandy beach. Before you go too far, you will find the Glenshesk River emptying itself into the Atlantic Ocean. If the water is too high for you to cross, there is a bridge at the back of the beach. From then on, it is undiluted doggy delight. If you choose to walk to the end of the beach, you will reach the site of Ballycastle Castle, but there are few remains left to investigate. Dogs are very welcome on the beach in Ballycastle, but must be kept under control during the summer months.
