The force of the water rushing through this flight of nine locks has to be seen to be believed, and it's a brilliant place to de-stress after hours of motorway driving.

The whole environment is dog-friendly (except the water which is definitely a no-no for dogs), with walks along the towpath and on the grassy bank by the canal.

You'll find plenty of entertainment watching the boats coming through the locks, with professional skippers wedged alongside holidaymakers getting to grips with their hired cruisers. We really saw one cruiser try and get through a lock sideways!
