A83 dog walk in Ardgartan Forest, Scotland
Description
A dog walk on a forest track without sheep or stiles. It's not the most scenic of walks, but the dog won't mind and as there's only the one track navigation isn't a problem.
Details
GPS coords for car park: 56.1945, -4.7913 What3Words: ///advice.cringes.dusters WC+disabled. Picnic table. Other facilities and wheelchair access to the loch in Ardgartan village.
Walk
Fully accessible tarmac riverside trail and the section as far as the hotel is flat. After that you do get gradients. This section is also used by bikes and vehicles so be aware of this. Going in the other direction, bear right from the car park onto the forestry track. This can be summed up as uphill, take a breather, and then downhill. But on a cool day it's a great workout for you and the dogs.
