Perched high on a hill overlooking the lavender fields is this utterly charming and picturesque medieval walled citadel. Understandably it is a popular spot to visit but, unless you are in the area in high season, you can wander around the narrow alleys taking advantage of the shade and then enjoy a meal or cold drink in one of the small restaurants near the square.  Dogs are welcome everywhere, including a renowned herb garden.

From a canine perspective, there's a choice of several excellent dog walks just up the road and Toutou would probably be more at ease in the town after a good romp first!
