A7 doggiestop at St Rambert d'Algon Services, southbound, France
Description
One of the better southbound motorway services for dogs, with a reasonable amount of grass and also a small lake. A useful stop for caravans needing easy parking.
Usual motorway style fast food is always available, but you do have to go into the services building to get this. Service was extremely unhurried on the day we were here - and dogs aren't allowed in.
If you're driving solo in hot weather then we don't recommend a stop here as you'd need to leave the dog in your vehicle for at least 15 minutes; too long by far.
Details
Lakeside terrace restaurant/cafe is open July and August only. Picnic tables by the lake with trees to give some shade.
How to get there
The services are between junctions 12 and 13 of the A7.
Walk
The grassy areas are quite large and pleasant for a stroll with the dog.

Lots of grass
Lots of grass for the dogs to have a good walk around. Walked them for around 20 mins. Good doggy pit stop.
