Lovely big-hearted and dog-friendly pub just off the A46 north of Nottingham with loads of space for everyone. There's a field for camping (C&C members only), where kids can let off steam while you sit in the sun enjoying the countryside. In Winter you can snuggle up to a real fire. The A46 follows the line of the Roman Fosseway, and the sociable ghost here dates from Roman times when there was a pretty big fort nearby.
