A34 exit 26 dog walk near Reims, France
Description
Newly created swathe of green that is intended to be a recreation space for dog walkers, joggers, cyclists and walkers. Not worth a detour, but very handy if you are overnighting at one of the budget hotels near the motorway.
Walk
A waterside path that partly follows the course of the river Vesle and mostly the towpath of the Aisne/Marne canal. Gracious it ain't - but dogs will be grateful for the chance to run off-lead.
We didn't have time to explore the canal in as much detail as we wanted, but it looks as if you should be able to walk into the historic city of Reims along the towpath.
Safety note: don't let your dog into the water!
