A31 exit 4 doggiestop near Arcelot, France
PremiumDescription
Sometimes you find a little place that is absolutely gorgeous, for no particular reason. This little hamlet is dominated by a chateau (private) - and in that sense it's a bit like visiting Blenheim without the gardens.
But just a few metres away from the imposing chateau gates and you're in a world of peace and quiet, where picnic tables are set on a soft grassy clearing next to a bubbling river that's ideal for a dog dip, and a country farm lane running close to the river is ideal for a short stroll.
Take a picnic, and enjoy the moment.

Disappointed
It may be because we were walking in the winter rather than the summer but there were no picnic benches to be found and the area next to the car park a little run down. Perhaps it is better in the summer. The alternative lake walk at Arc-sur-Tille was much nicer although I imagine heaving in the summer months.
DwD Team - we were there in the summer, and it's mch better then.
